Bathroom was not wheelchair accessible...shower not roll in type. Shower chair was too big for the tub and the rubber was dry rotted.
I've always wondered who stays at these random motels off the side of the highway far from a tourist attraction. Well, wonder no more. It is I, after driving from NYC needing a respite at 4 am with a dog in tow. The room was clean. The shower was hot and powerful. The bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge I didn't partake in the breakfast but it was available. The pool wasn't in operation, but it was after Labor Day. It looked like an old school one.
Great place to stay! Affordable and clean! I came in the middle of the night and the guy at the front desk showed me my room to make sure it was something I’d be happy with since my last place was not so clean. So happy with my experience!
We've been on the road for 10 days, staying in mediocre motels. We were so relieved when we found America's Best Value Inn in St. Clairsville! Kris checked us in at the front desk. Kris was professional, polite,helpful and gracious! He showed us a few rooms and let us choose which one we wanted. He informed us of locations to laundry, ice machine and parking. Kris provided excellent customer service! Our room was clean and well laid out. The hotel is in a quiet location, feels safe and we have not seen any seedy characters on the grounds. We would recommend this hotel.
It's old.... still need improvement but they are on the good track since it's clean and functional. Great "traveler" grade ... will aim a bit higher for vacation beign honnest ! All rooms with hard floor (no carpet) that's great!
You really can't beat it for the price! Pet friendly & smoking. I like that the door goes to outside. We were in the back, so our view was a forested area, which was great! The guy at the front desk was very nice. I saw him helping someone into 1 of the handicap rooms in our row. Waffles, cereal and toast were available for breakfast. Coffee and orange juice. Not too shabby when it's free. Would definitely book again!
For a budget motel, this was the best hotel I stayed at on a 6,000 mile road trip across the country and back staying at countless budget motels. I arrived late and the front desk young man was very friendly, helpful and made me feel welcomed. The room was clean, spacious, very comfortable bed and good shower pressure. Close to a shopping center for food, supplies etc but have to drive to get there a few minutes. Breakfast was amazing. I usually don't eat breakfast but the waffle maker looked good that morning so enjoyed a hot breakfast. Good coffee bar, juice, and a working ice maker. Felt safe and rested the next morning to begin my road trip. Overall, a great place to stay for the price and definitely recommend!
Stop looking for a hotel, and book here. This is truly the best value you'll get. Clean facilities and free light breakfast. You also get a minifridge, which is better than most places.
